Things to Do

Things to do that are special to us around NYC.

DiFara

Difara makes amazing pizza. Going to Difara is an experience in and of itself, mainly because you can wait for close to two hours for your pie. You can BOYB and watch the pizza genius work his magic. Once you get your pizza, you will realized that waiting was the right choice.

L&B Spumoni Gardens

Spumoni Gardens also makes amazing pizza. You could call this place a pizza factory. Located in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn, Spumoni Gardens has been family owned and operated since 1938. It was featured on Man Vs. Food, as if we need that guy to tell us the pizza is incredible! Take a ride out to Spumoni Gardens and try their sicilian pie.

Toby's Public House

Toby's Public House is a great place to have wood oven specialty pies (the tartufata, spinach, and spicy pecorino are some of our favorites) and a lovely glass of wine, pint of beer, or cocktail. It is a place for friends who love pizza. You can also purchase home made beef jerky from behind the bar.

S’nice

Casual vegetaritan food with locations in NYC and Brooklyn

Angelica’s Kitchen

Macrobiotic lunch and dinner. They don't have ice for your water, don't even ask for ice in your water.

Gobo

Super tasty vegetarian, on the fancier side. Pretty sure you can get ice in your water here.

Littleneck

We love Littleneck! Great place to get some oysters and a lobster roll if you are feeling fishy.

Les Halle

One of our new favorite places. Menu is heavy on the steaks but dont skip over the mussles or truffle mac & cheese

No. 7

We went to No. 7 on our first dinner date. Go there and get sentimental for us.

Double Windsor

You can get a pint of a serioulsy obscure craft beer here as well as a delicious burger.

Bierkraft

This place has delicious sandwiches to go with their extensive craft beer and cider selection. Get a table out back if you can.

Marshall Stack

Marshall Stack is a special place for us. We meet here after Matt gets his hair cut down the block. And the have a pretty good selection of craft beers usually.

Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

You can wander into UCB on any night and you might be lucky enough to catch Amy Poehler or Horatio Sanz for a guest appearance. UCB is always a good time!

Comedy Cellar

The Comedy Cellar is a legendary stand up comedy club in the West Village. Every night is a good night for comedy at the Comedy Cellar.

Carolines

Located in Times Square, you can find some of the biggest names in comedy performing here.

High Line

The High Line is a popular park on Manhattan's west side which is a 13 miles strech of reclaimed rail line that had become over grown with native grases and opened in 2009.

Prospect Park

Prosepct Park is beautiful! You can check out the Zoo, rent a paddle boat in the lake, or just wander around the park on the winding foot paths.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are located across the street from Prospect Park. Stop by to see one of the largest displays of bonsai trees outside of Japan.

Museum of the City of New York

You should go here to learn something about the city we love. Maybe you will learn to love it too!

Museum of Mathematics

Math is fun! This place is on our list of things to do. Maybe someone wants to go with us?

American Museum of Natural History

If you ask nicely, Melissa might be able to get you free passes from her lovely sister, Danielle.
